**L’Enfant et les Sortilèges: A Magical Opera Experience**

Join us for a mesmerizing performance of Ravel's "L’Enfant et les Sortilèges" at the Théâtre Maisonneuve, Place des Arts. This enchanting opera, a hit with audiences at the Théâtre Paradoxe in February 2023, returns for a captivating run. Directed by Sylvain Scott and featuring the talented resident artists of the Atelier lyrique, the opera is brought to life with the harmonious accompaniment of the Orchestre de l’Agora, under the baton of the acclaimed Nicolas Ellis.

The performance will open with the premiere of "Le Phare" (The Lighthouse) by Laurence Jobidon and Maria Reva, a poignant tale of a lighthouse with unexpected consequences after turning off its beam.

Experience the journey of a mischievous child who, after being punished by his mother, witnesses his room transform into a fantastical world where objects and animals come to life. This opera for the whole family explores themes of imagination, repentance, and the magic of childhood.
