Join us for an unforgettable evening of music and cultural celebration at the "Community Concert: Music Unites Us - Brazil," presented by the Holland Symphony Orchestra. This vibrant event will take place on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the scenic Henry P. VanderLinde Bandshell in Kollen Park.

This year's concert features the exceptional talents of Choro das 3, a band of three sisters renowned for their mastery of choro, a lively and joyful style of Brazilian folk music. Their performances have captivated audiences worldwide, earning critical acclaim for their dynamic and authentic renditions. Joining them will be guest conductor Christopher Fashun, guiding the Holland Symphony Orchestra in a fusion of local musical talent and diverse cultural expressions.

"Music Unites Us" aims to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our wonderful world, particularly here in West Michigan. The concert will showcase an array of musical pieces from various cultures, including Cumbia, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, and Ugandan, all reimagined with the support of a symphony orchestra under the composition of Greg Scheer. Special guest violinist Julia LaGrand will also grace the stage, bringing attention to disability and inclusivity within our community.
