Adding to the variety, the program includes Richard Rogers' "Oklahoma" from 1943, a nod to the symphony's roots, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2 in D major, op. 36, a work composed during a challenging period of Beethoven’s life when he began to lose his hearing.
