Experience the artistry of Grammy-nominated pianist Joyce Yang, renowned for her poetic and sensitive pianism as praised by The Washington Post, and her wondrous sense of color, as noted by the San Francisco Classical Voice. Yang's virtuosity, lyricism, and interpretive sensitivity have captivated audiences worldwide. At the age of 19, she gained international acclaim as the silver medalist in the 2005 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, where she also received awards for Best Performance of Chamber Music and Best Performance of a New Work. Her celebrated debut with the New York Philharmonic in 2006 marked the beginning of a distinguished career, highlighted by performances with top orchestras and at prestigious venues globally.

In this performance, Yang will present a program featuring Beethoven's Sonata in E-Flat Major, Op. 31, No. 3 "The Hunt," selections from Rachmaninoff's Preludes, Op. 32, and Schumann's Kreisleriana, Op. 16. Her ability to bring an enormous palette of colors and tremendous emotional depth to her performances has been lauded by critics and audiences alike. Yang's innovative approach to programming and her collaborations with leading orchestras and chamber musicians showcase her as an extraordinary and kaleidoscopic artist.
