Hudson Valley Chamber Music Circle (HVCMC) celebrates its 75th anniversary season and launches its signature June Concert Series with the award-winning Balourdet Quartet.  Returning for the second consecutive year following its highly acclaimed HVCMC debut, the Balourdet will perform well-loved chamber music classics by Haydn and Smetana, alongside new works by Paul Novak and Nicky Sohn.

Alumna Nicky Sohn’s The Blue Hour reflects on our planet’s precarious state and encourages contemplation and action. Gershwin’s An American in Paris bursts with jazzy charm and vibrant city rhythms—music so infectious it practically dances off the stage. On the other end of the musical spectrum, Tchaikovsky’s final symphony explores a wide-ranging emotional landscape and provides personal reflections on the composer’s storied life.

Celebrate the holiday season with the Albany Symphony as they present the "Nicky Sohn Holiday Mozart & Vivaldi" concert. Under the baton of David Alan Miller, the concert will feature a lineup of exceptional talent, including guitarist Bokyung Byun and oboists Karen Hosmer & Grace Shryock. Join us for a captivating evening as ROCO’s Connections Series continues on January 27, 2024, in collaboration with The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Rienzi house museum. The concert will take place at 5:00 PM in the glorious ballroom of the Rienzi, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, located on Kirby Drive.

This special event, now at capacity, will feature a stunning program including Charles Loeffler's "Rhapsodies" and the world premiere of Nicky Sohn's "Colors of Life’s Garden," inspired by the plants and flowers in the 4.4-acre Rienzi Garden. The evening will also include performances of Margaret Bonds' "Troubled Water," Rebecca Clarke's "Morpheus," and Alyssa Morris' "Four Personalities: Yellow."
