Join Theatre Cedar Rapids for an unforgettable outdoor youth theatre experience with "Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus," running from July 5th to July 21st, 2024. This special TCR Out of Doors presentation will take place at the picturesque Peggy Boyle Whitworth Amphitheatre at Brucemore, located at 2160 Linden Dr SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403.

Adapted from the #1 New York Times best-selling, Caldecott Honor award-winning Pigeon picture books by Mo Willems, this musical brings to life the story of a pigeon who dreams of driving the bus. With a script by Mo Willems and Mr. Warburton, lyrics by Mo Willems, and music by Deborah Wicks La Puma, this production promises to be even more fun than staying up late and having a hot dog party. It's a tale of ambition, responsibility, and the adventures that unfold when the bus driver faces a crisis, possibly giving the pigeon a chance to shine.

**Admission Details:**
- Tickets are priced at $13 for youth 2 and under, $18 for youth ages 3-12, and $29 for adults. A $3 processing fee is included in each ticket purchase.
- TCR subscribers enjoy a 25% discount, with discount codes sent via email or available through the TCR box office.
- Brucemore members also receive a discount, available upon contact.

**About Your Visit:**
- **Performance Times:** All shows begin at 6:30 p.m., with the site opening at 5:45 p.m. for parking and seating.
- **Parking:** Available on-site at 2160 Linden Drive SE, with signage directing to open spaces.
- **Seating:** Lawn space is first-come, first-served. Patrons should bring their own chairs or blankets.
- **Show Run Time:** Approximately one hour, with no intermission.
- **Food and Beverage:** Patrons may bring light snacks and beverages. Concessions will also be available for purchase.
- **Pets:** Only service animals are allowed.
- **Weather Policy:** The event is outdoors and may proceed in light rain. Decisions regarding delays or rescheduling due to weather will be made by 4:15 p.m. on the day, with notifications to ticket holders by phone. No refunds, only exchanges for another date if possible.

The event features the Nashville Symphony under the baton of conductor Nathan Aspinall, promising a captivating musical journey. Adding to the excitement, the concert includes free, family-friendly pre-concert activities starting at 2 PM, such as crafts and an interactive Instrument Petting Zoo. This performance is also designed to be sensory-friendly, offering accommodations for patrons on the autism spectrum and those with sensory sensitivities.
