Hampstead Theatre is thrilled to present "GRUD," a compelling new play written by Sarah Power and directed by Jaz Woodcock-Stewart. "GRUD" delves into the life of Aicha, a dedicated student who, after losing the election for student president, pours her heart and soul into the school's Extended Physics Project, affectionately dubbed Space Club. The narrative takes an intriguing turn with the unexpected arrival of Bo, a mysterious new member who brings with her the complexities of her home life and the looming threat of a personal black hole that could derail her ambitions for a brighter future.

Sarah Power, an alumnus of Hampstead Theatre’s INSPIRE 2022 programme for emerging playwrights, brings her unique voice and storytelling prowess to the stage, with a script that is both engaging and thought-provoking. Jaz Woodcock-Stewart, making her Hampstead Theatre debut, directs this production with a fresh and dynamic approach, promising to captivate audiences with her visionary interpretation of Power's text.

The play's run includes a variety of performances, with preview shows starting on 28 June and special events such as a press night on 8 July and patrons evenings with post-show discussions. The production also offers captioned performances, ensuring accessibility for all theatre-goers.
