Join the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra for an enchanting Family Concert on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 3:00 PM. This special event will take place at Central Bucks High School South, located at 1100 Folly Road, Warrington, PA 18976. Under the baton of Maestro José Luis Domínguez, the BCSO will perform a captivating program themed around animals, highlighted by the performance of Saint-Saëns’ much-loved musical suite, "The Carnival of the Animals."

This family-friendly concert will also showcase the extraordinary talent of 12-year-old violinist Mio Imai, the winner of the BCSO's Youth Concerto Competition. Attendees will also enjoy performances by special guest instrumentalists, the string players from Central Bucks elementary schools, all under the skilled direction of Donna Hartzell.

The concert program, titled "BATS, BEATS, and BEASTS," includes a variety of pieces such as Johann Strauss Jr.'s "Overture to Die Fledermaus," Pablo de Sarasate's "Zigeunerweisen, Op. 20," with Mio Imai on violin, and John Williams' iconic "Theme from Jurassic Park." The program will also feature performances by the string ensembles of Butler, Jamison, and Mill Creek Elementary Schools.

Mio Imai, a remarkable young musician, has already made a name for herself on the international stage, with performances alongside prestigious orchestras and in competitions worldwide. Her participation adds a special highlight to what promises to be a memorable afternoon of music and entertainment for the whole family.
