Join the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra for an enchanting Family Concert on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 3:00 PM. This special event will take place at Central Bucks High School East, located at 2804 Holicong Road, Doylestown, PA 18902. 

This year, the BCSO is thrilled to feature the Wind Ensemble of Holicong Middle School as our special guests, enhancing the concert with their youthful energy and talent. The highlight of the concert will be a performance by the 2022 Youth Concerto Competition 1st prize winner, the exceptionally talented 14-year-old violinist Audrey Kim. Under the baton of Maestro José Luis Domínguez, the BCSO will guide the audience through an exploration of the various orchestral instruments with Benjamin Britten’s "The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra," making it a perfect afternoon of entertainment for the entire family.

The concert program includes:
- Peter Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto in D, Movement 3, featuring Audrey Kim as the soloist.
- Benjamin Britten: The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra.
- Arturo Márquez: Conga del Fuego.
- Two Pieces with the Holicong Middle School Wind Ensemble, directed by Joel Chodoroff.

Audrey Kim, a prodigious talent, began her violin journey at the tender age of 4 and has since accumulated an impressive array of accolades and performances. Her participation in the concert follows her victory in the BCSO’s Youth Concerto Competition, where she captivated the judges with her rendition of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, earning her the prestigious Jeanne Marvin Phillips Prize.
