Chamber Music Pittsburgh marks the US Semiquincentennial by celebrating the histories, voices and viewpoints of pan-American creators, performed by artists from throughout the Americas who have made Pittsburgh their home.  Featuring music by composers from the United States, Uruguay, and Brazil, concert curator Carlos Clark, Paul J. Ross Fellow at the Pittsburgh Symphony, interweaves storytelling and performance, illuminating the complex and evolving identities of the featured composers. This Pittsburgh Performs concert offers a colorful, vibrant vision of hope and discovery, and provides a uniquely personal reflection on our complex history.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of music and celebration at the "Esplêndido - From Bach to Brazil - Music in the Vineyards" event, taking place on Sunday, August 25th, 2024, at 5:00 pm. This exquisite event will be held at the scenic Inglenook, located at 1991 St Helena Hwy, Rutherford, CA 94573, marking the 30th Anniversary Celebration of Music in the Vineyards.

The festival finale will showcase the incredible talents of Clarice Assad, a renowned Brazilian-American composer, pianist, arranger, and singer from Rio de Janeiro. Assad's performance will take you on a musical journey from the compositions of J.S. Bach to the vibrant rhythms of Brazil, featuring songs by Jobim and Piazzolla. Joined by the talented MITV musicians, including David Bowlin, Phoenix Avalon, Owen Dalby, Adrian Steele, Daria T. Adams, Maiya Papach, Devin Moore, viola; Tanya Tomkins, Joshua McClendon, cello; and Assad herself on piano, the evening promises to be a rich tapestry of musical genres and styles.

Following the concert, guests will have the opportunity to dine on the Inglenook terrace, participating in an auction to support the future of Music in the Vineyards. This event is hosted by Francis Ford Coppola and Inglenook in memory of Eleanor Coppola, offering a unique chance to celebrate music, culture, and community in one of California's most beautiful vineyards.
