The program promises an exploration of contemporary repertoire for soprano and cello, shining a spotlight on compositions by women, non-binary, and LGBTQ composers, including works by Jessie Montgomery, Heather Gilligan, and arrangements by the duo themselves. The evening will also feature compositions by Ned Rorem, Francis Poulenc, and Claude Debussy, promising a diverse and engaging auditory experience.

Jules Bieber, a cellist, educator, and musical curator based in Brooklyn, NY, is known for her versatility across various musical styles and her commitment to creating inclusive classical music spaces. She has co-founded ChamberQUEER, an LGBTQ chamber music organization, and has performed on prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Danielle Buonaiuto, praised for her "terrific clarity and color" (Baltimore Sun), is an accomplished soprano with a focus on contemporary compositions, having premiered over sixty songs and roles in six operas. Together, they form Duo Callisto, focusing on developing and commissioning new repertoire for cello and voice.
