Immerse yourself in the enchanting melodies of the "Beautiful Blue Danube" concert, a musical journey that promises to waltz you through the heart of Vienna and Prague. This extraordinary event, scheduled for January 17 and 18, 2025, at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts in Amarillo, Texas, features a world-premiere violin piece co-commissioned by the Amarillo Symphony and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. 

The spotlight shines on New Zealand violin virtuoso Ben Baker, under the baton of conductor George Jackson, as they bring to life a repertoire that includes the timeless Johann Strauss Blue Danube Waltz, the premiere of Matthew Kaner's Violin Concerto, and Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 8. 

This event, taking place on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM, is not just a concert but a celebration of classical music's enduring beauty and the innovative spirit of contemporary compositions.
