Join us at The Hobby Center for a spectacular evening celebrating the legendary Joe Sample in "The Joe Sample Celebration," presented by Jazz Houston in partnership with KTSU 90.9 FM. This unforgettable concert, marking the close of the 2023-’24 season, will take place on May 30, 2024, in the intimate setting of Zilkha Hall.

The evening promises to be a memorable one, featuring the Jazz Houston Orchestra under the musical direction of Vincent Gardner. Special guest artist Stix Hooper, a co-founder of The Crusaders alongside Joe Sample, will make a long-awaited homecoming to Houston for this event. The concert will showcase new and existing arrangements of compositions made famous by The Crusaders, as well as songs written by Joe Sample and Stix Hooper, including the debut performance of their final song written together.
