Join us for an enchanting evening of solo cello music with Andrei Ioniță, a celebrated BBC New Generation Alumnus, at the prestigious LSO St Luke's. This early-evening recital is set to take place on Friday, 6th September 2024, starting at 6pm and concluding at approximately 7.15pm. 

Andrei Ioniță will grace the stage with his exceptional talent, performing J.S. Bach's Cello Suite No. 5 in C minor, BWV 1011, and Cello Suite No. 3 in C major, BWV 1009. This performance not only showcases Ioniță's virtuosity but also pays homage to the timeless beauty of Bach's compositions.

Rising stars Polish cellist Maciej Kułakowski and Swiss pianist/composer Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula met at the Kronberg Academy in Germany.

Their programme includes, in his 150th anniversary year, Rachmaninov’s gorgeously lyrical cello sonata, one of the most romantic in the repertoire, written in 1901, a year after his beloved Second Piano Concerto.
