We team up again with the Missouri State University’s star-studded department of Theatre and Dance for a concert version of Rogers and Hammerstein’s beautiful and haunting Carousel. This score is arguably one of the most gorgeous to come out of Broadway’s Golden Era, and it will be thrilling to hear a full symphony backing up the MSU students and featuring new faculty member Josh Young, fresh from Broadway runs of Jesus Christ Superstar and Amazing Grace.

Join us at the Clemens Center for an enchanting evening of wine and opera with the "Wine About Opera" event, featuring the talents of Tri-Cities Opera. This unique experience is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, 2024, and promises an unforgettable blend of culinary delights and musical excellence.

The evening kicks off at 6:00 pm with a pre-performance buffet and wine tasting in the Clemens Center's upper lobby. Limited to just 50 attendees, this exclusive gathering allows you to indulge in a delicious buffet provided by RYE Bar, complemented by exquisite wines from Fulkerson Winery. It's a perfect start to what promises to be a grand night for drinking and dining.

At 7:00 pm, the performance of "Wine About Opera" begins in Mandeville Hall, promising an intimate and engaging opera experience. The show is also limited to 50 attendees, ensuring a cozy and immersive atmosphere. During intermission, enjoy delectable desserts from The Cakery, adding a sweet note to the evening's festivities.

The program features a selection of operatic highlights, including "It’s a Grand Night for Singing" from State Fair, "The Champagne Song" from Die Fledermaus, "Habanera" from Carmen, and many more, performed by the talented artists of Tri-Cities Opera. These pieces promise to showcase the power, beauty, and emotion of opera, making for a memorable night.

Tickets are available for both the buffet and show ($65) or the show only ($40), with both options including wine tasting, dessert, and the performance. Please note that buffet ticket sales end on May 10, so be sure to secure your spot early.
