Join us for an enchanting evening of music with "Kirill Gerstein & Friends" at the prestigious Jerwood Hall, LSO St Luke’s, on Friday, 31 May 2024, at 7pm. This early-evening chamber concert, curated by the virtuoso pianist Kirill Gerstein, celebrates four centuries of musical innovation and is a highlight of his Spotlight Artist series with the London Symphony Orchestra.

The concert promises a rich and diverse programme, featuring masterpieces that span the breadth of musical history. The evening will commence with Joseph Haydn's Piano Trio in G major, followed by a selection of Hungarian Folk Songs by Béla Bartók, and György Ligeti's Concerto for Piano & Orchestra. After a brief interval, the concert will resume with Ludwig van Beethoven's Trio for Clarinet, Cello & Piano, "Gassenhauer", Robert Schumann's Blumenstück, and a trio of works by Thomas Adès, including Növények, Concerto Conciso, and the composer himself taking the conductor's baton.

Kirill Gerstein will be joined on stage by a stellar lineup of musicians, including Katia Skanavi and Joseph Havlat on piano, Katalin Karolyi as mezzo-soprano, and a selection of LSO Musicians, ensuring an evening of exceptional performances. The concert is set to conclude at approximately 9pm.
