**WaterWorks Emerging Artists Showcase: A Night of Multidisciplinary Talent**

Harlem Stage is thrilled to announce a special evening that marks the culmination of the WaterWorks Emerging Artists program for the year 2023. This sold-out showcase is a testament to the vibrant and diverse talents that have been nurtured through this esteemed program, which has been a cornerstone of support for artists of color at the early stages of their careers for nearly three decades.

**About the Showcase:**  
The WaterWorks Emerging Artists program, formerly known as the Fund for New Work, has a rich history of supporting early-career artists of color in their artistic journey. Each year, the program awards commissions to five promising artists, providing them with a platform for mentorship, professional development, and critical feedback. Participants are given access to rehearsal space and production support, culminating in the development of an original performance piece.

This year's showcase will feature the innovative works of the 2023 cohort, including:
- **Shantelle Courvoisier Jackson**, an interdisciplinary performing artist and painter
- **Hannah Lemmons aka LEMMONS**, a singer/songwriter
- **Bobby Morgan**, a choreographer and dancer
- **Mary Prescott**, an interdisciplinary artist, composer, and pianist
- **Kalí Rodríguez-Peña**, a trumpeter and composer

These artists represent the best and brightest of emerging talent, each bringing their unique voice and vision to the Harlem Stage. The showcase is not only a celebration of their year-long journey within the program but also a reflection of the rich cultural tapestry that Harlem Stage continues to weave through its support of multidisciplinary arts.
