Step into Room 306 of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee, on the night of April 3, 1968, and witness the final hours of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in "The Mountaintop" by Katori Hall. This powerful play offers a humanizing portrayal of Dr. King, revealing the man behind the myth through poignant dialogue and powerful monologues. The story unfolds as Dr. King reflects on his life, struggles, and hopes for the future, accompanied by Camae, a sassy and mysterious hotel maid with a lot to say.
