Noche en Triana, a holiday miracle. Every December The Fountain Theatre is blessed with an amazingly stacked lineup brought to us by the man, the myth, the legend - ANTONIO TRIANA. This year’s no different. World class guitar by Antonio, devastatingly beautiful cante by Juan Murube, and the triumphant return of the incredible Gerardo Morales on percussion. FOUR DANCERS, including a rare and special appearance by Arleen Hurtado on and the dynamic and creative stylings Ryan Rockmore. Rounding it out Marina and Reyes bring their signature beauty, skill, and explosive power. This company is comprised of the best Flamenco artists in the world, and they’re all here - just feet, sometimes inches, from you.

The Fountain Theatre

Suspense, intrigue, sex, scandal, love. The Alex Theatre presents Luxurîa (“Lust”), the latest flamenco dance-
theater sensation from Spain’s internationally renowned Barcelona Flamenco Ballet.
Award-winning Barcelona Flamenco Ballet artistic directors, choreographers and ballarines principals
(principal dancers) David Gutiérrez and Paula Reyes will be accompanied on the Alex stage by cantaor (singer) Joel de Pepa and guitarrista (guitarist) Jordi Centeno. Los Angeles native, and a
local flamenco circuit favorite, percussionista (percussionist) Gerardo Morales joins the ensemble for its eight-state U.S. tour.
Showcasing the company’s unique, pioneering style that combines traditional flamenco dance and music
with elements of ballet, classical and jazz, Luxurîa spins an intensely passionate tale about a
charismatic artist (Gutiérrez) who encounters the
greatest love of his life (Reyes). The audience becomes privy to the performers’ most intimate
emotions when “Lust” intervenes. Barcelona Flamenco Ballet’s innovative form of flamenco
conveys the intensity, the passion and the tragedy as our hero is plagued by self-doubt, pride,
despair and, ultimately, loneliness.
