Join us for an enchanting evening of classical music featuring the virtuoso viola soloist Timothy Ridout, a former BBC New Generation Artist and renowned soloist and chamber musician. This concert will be held at the historic Church of St Martin-in-the-Fields, the principal orchestral partner of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields (ASMF).

**Programme Highlights:**
- **Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante:** A masterpiece that will pair Timothy Ridout’s viola with the violin of ASMF’s director/leader, Tomo Keller.
- **Hummel’s Potpourri mit Fantasie:** An acoustical bouquet written in 1820, borrowing popular melodies from Mozart and Rossini, woven into a brilliant fantasy showcase for the viola.

Join the SCO and RCS players for music of charm and opulence, from Scottish composer Helen Grime’s dramatic, virtuosic Elegiac Inflections to the sunny optimism of the Octet-Partita by Hummel, a contemporary and friend of Beethoven. Florent Schmitt was an associate of Ravel, and combines dreaminess and fantastical playfulness in his captivating Lied & Scherzo, while Caplet summons the mysteries of the Near East in the sensual evocations of his Suite Persane.
