The Josh Nelson Jazz Ensemble returns this season for an evening of crystal-clear jazz and mesmerizing melodies. Described by jazz journalist Gary Fukushima as possessing "crystal clarity and execution of original ideas," pianist Josh Nelson will lead his talented ensemble in an unforgettable jazz performance. Internationally renowned vocalist Nicolas Bearde is a jazz singer whose remarkable depth, range and vocal technique have won acclaim from critics and jazz audiences worldwide. A seasoned and highly respected showman, Bearde’s lush ‘buttery baritone’ vocals combine passion, wit, and sensuality. His engaging rapport captures and draws the audience into his performance. Forged from Nashville roots and a 1980s initiation into the thriving San Francisco music scene, Nicolas’s velvety smooth delivery of time-tested standards, blues, and his own originals will be soulful, swinging, improvisational and memorable!

JAMES BOND GALLA is a terrific concert led by Scandinavia's greatest jazz singer, Sinne Eeg. The Danish diva presents a pearl string of the well-known theme songs from the Agent 007 films, accompanied by star singer Patrick Dorgan. The music is performed by a well-dressed orchestra, including with the participation of the American pianist Josh Nelson, who has worked with world stars such as Natalie Cole, Ivan Lins and Kurt Elling.

With “a wide harmonic palette, a sophisticated rhythmic sensibility and a refined sense of dynamics, along with an urge to swing” (DownBeat), flutist and composer Lori Bell brings her quartet The Modern Line for this celebration of Joe Henderson and more.

A San Diego-based artist originally hailing from Brooklyn, Bell is a three-time recipient of the Global Music Award who has released a dozen albums in jazz and classical settings since her 1992 debut. Her 2016 album Brooklyn Dreaming is a loving tribute to her family and birthplace was named to “Best of the Year” lists from the Huffington Post and DownBeat, who enthused, “Bell flaunts prodigious chops on both C flute and alto flute, though her pen might be mightier than her sword. Her originals all reveal a wide harmonic palette, a sophisticated rhythmic sensibility and a refined sense of dynamics, along with an urge to swing.”

"Great Love Songs" is an evening of hearts, dedicated to the eternal story of longing love, unattainable love, and all-consuming and amazing love. 

Experience the greatest jazz ballads - immortalized by, among others, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, Ella Fitzgerald and others - sung this evening by the award-winning Kira Skov and Denmark's arguably most talented jazz crooner Mads Mathias, who individually and together give the classics fresh life in new arrangements for the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra.

As an extra treat, there is also a distinguished return visit from Hollywood by the American pianist and composer Josh Nelson, who, among other things, took the audience by storm together with Sinne Eeg in the spring of 2025 at the James Bond Gala at the House of Music.
