### Heroic Tchaikovsky Chamber Music Concert

**Event Description:**
Join us for an inspiring afternoon of chamber music at the "Heroic Tchaikovsky" concert, presented by the Society for Chamber Music in Rochester (SCMR). This event will take place on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the Beston Hall in the Glazer Music Performance Center at Nazareth University. The concert will begin with a pre-concert talk at 2:30 PM, followed by the main performance at 3:00 PM.

The program features Tchaikovsky’s epic Piano Trio, Op. 50, as its centerpiece. We are excited to introduce Eastman’s newest cello professor, Joseph Johnson, to the SCMR community. Additionally, the concert will highlight the works of another esteemed local composer, Octavio Vazquez from Nazareth University, in the first half of the program.

**Program:**
- **Andrés Martin:** Syncronicity for cello and bass (7 minutes)
- **William Jae:** Fragile Dreams, for flute, violin, and piano (SCMR Composition competition, 10 minutes)
- **Octavio Vazquez:** MusicScapes, for piano trio and double bass (2011, 11 minutes)
- **Pyotr Tchaikovsky:** Piano Trio, Op. 50 (47 minutes)
