This piece pays homage to the dramatic scenery and ancient pictographs of the Maze section of Canyonlands National Park in Utah. The evening culminates with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4, a beloved work that showcases the emotional depth and technical prowess of the orchestra. Adkins, the Utah Symphony Concertmaster, brings her extensive experience and artistry to the stage, having performed with numerous prestigious orchestras and festivals worldwide. Her performance on the ex-Chardon Guadagnini of 1782, a historic instrument, adds a unique and rich sound to the concert.
