Experience the magic of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" like never before with Trinity Repertory Company's production of "La Tempestad The Tempest." This unique adaptation, translated and adapted by Orlando Hernández, Tatyana-Marie Carlo, and Leandro Kufa Castro, and directed by Christie Vela, offers a fresh perspective on the classic tale. The production seamlessly blends Shakespeare's original English with translated Spanish dialogue, accompanied by projected subtitles, ensuring a comprehensive understanding for all audience members. 

"La Tempestad The Tempest" deconstructs colonialist narratives while preserving the enchanting elements of shipwreck, romance, magic, and fantasy that have made Shakespeare's final play a timeless favorite. Originally presented in 2018 as a touring Teatro en El Verano production, this rendition marks its first transition to Trinity Rep’s main stage. The play is a significant addition to the centuries-long tradition of interpreting Shakespeare, offering a compelling mix of languages and cultural perspectives. 

With a runtime of about two hours and thirty minutes, including a fifteen-minute intermission, this production promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking experience.
