Full of passion, lyricism, and technical bravura, this concerto became Tchaikovsky’s first work to achieve widespread acclaim this side of the Atlantic. This inspirational program also features Rachmaninov’s Second Symphony, a masterwork recognized for its gorgeous melodies and triumphant conclusion. You may hear the pop of a cork as the concert opens! This will be Dr. David Bowden’s final concert with the THSO prior to his retirement in June 2025.
