Conductor Elim Chan makes her debut with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra on April 3 with works by Haydn, Lutosławski and Koide. Haydn's Cello Concerto in C major will be performed by star cellist Steven Isserlis.

Artist-in-Residence Sheku Kanneh-Mason joins conductor Elim Chan for the aching beauty of Elgar’s Cello Concerto. The Orchestra also performs selections from Prokofiev’s Cinderella — a harmonically rich, at times whimsical ballet not often heard in an orchestral setting — plus the New York Premiere of Noriko Koide’s Swaddling Silk and Gossamer Rain, with textures as delicate as the title suggests.
