She formed her first band at 16 in Basildon, was in Yazoo at 20 and released her first solo album Alf at 23. In the four decades since Alf, Moyet's solo work has been defined not only by her refusal to repeat herself, but by that extraordinary voice: still recognisable in an instant, still capable of stopping you in your tracks, a voice big enough to fill a stadium and yet intimate enough to make you feel as though she's singing just for you.

Alison Moyet’s 2026 tour will consist exclusively of songs from the Yazoo catalog as well as selected tracks from her solo electronica albums the minutes and Other. While a few Yazoo hits are regularly included in Alison’s live sets, a large part of the duo’s material has rarely been performed since their two brief tours (the 1982 breakthrough and their 2008 reunion tour, Reconnected). This is therefore a unique opportunity to experience live performances of the songs that drove their phenomenal but short-lived career – including the landmark album Upstairs at Eric's (platinum in both the UK and US) and their final release You and Me Both, which went to number 1 in the UK. The tour will also feature selected songs from Alison’s critically acclaimed solo albums the minutes (2013) and Other (2017). Both albums were produced and primarily co-written with Guy Sigsworth and were received as triumphant creative returns to electronica – making them the perfect match for this tour. Alison states: “Many years touring the same pool of songs and I am keen for a palate refresher. Specifying which years I will be fishing from too, I think is a grand way to serve pot luck for specific tastes. No bones…”

After 2024’s ‘Key’ album prompted a rediscovery of her solo catalogue and her first Top 10 chart position in eleven years, Alison Moyet now announces details of a unique UK headline tour which starts in October 2026. The tour will consist exclusively of songs from the Yazoo catalogue and select tracks from her acclaimed solo electronica albums ‘the minutes’ and ‘Other’.
While a handful of Yazoo hits are staples of Alison’s live sets, much of the band’s material has rarely been performed outside of their two brief tours (their 1982 breakthrough and their 2008 ‘Reconnected’ reunion). This is a unique opportunity to experience songs live that propelled their phenomenal yet short-lived run, which encompassed the seminal album ‘Upstairs At Eric’s’ (certified Platinum in both the UK and US) and their parting release ‘You And Me Both’ (#1 in the UK).
