Year 1 Fellows: Chamber Concert

The Music Room

It’s rare to see a percussion performance outside of the Orchestra – but when you do, it’s one you’ll most definitely remember. Shining a spotlight on the work of acclaimed Greek/New Zealand composer John Psathas, Matthew Brett and Dawn Hardwick bring us a programme full of fascinating music, delivered via the irresistible tones of the marimba and vibraphone, and accompanied by evocative visuals and audio tracks.

Halo - the music of John Psathas

Royal Liverpool Philharmonic

The Orchestra’s Helen Wilson and Matthew Brett introduce us to a whole range of innovative sounds, styles and brand-new music too. Showcasing instruments from across the percussion section, and the flute family as well, they’ll perform works that are powerful, playful and totally impressive, plus we’ll be treated to the world premiere of a piece by Gary Carpenter.
