Join us at the Music Academy of the West for an unparalleled Viola Masterclass series, set against the stunning backdrop of our beautiful beachside campus in Santa Barbara, CA. From June 18 to July 30, in the esteemed Weinman Hall, attendees will have the rare chance to observe one-on-one teaching sessions between world-renowned teaching artists and our talented fellows.

This year's lineup includes distinguished violists and pedagogues such as Karen Dreyfus, Richard O’Neill, Milan Milisavljević, and Cynthia Phelps, each leading a masterclass on specific dates throughout the series. Karen Dreyfus will kick off the event, sharing her extensive experience as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. Richard O’Neill, a GRAMMY Award winner and newly appointed violist of the Takács Quartet, will continue the series, followed by Milan Milisavljević, Principal Viola with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Cynthia Phelps, Principal Violist of the New York Philharmonic, will conclude the series, bringing her wealth of knowledge and experience to our fellows.
