Toucher du bois is an audio-guided stroll by Maxime Pouliot in the heart of this damaged territory. Each performance consists of a walk in the public space to encounter the places and the family history of the artist. Using a listening device, the researcher lifts the buried layers of memory and fabricates potential stories. At the crossroads of the memorial novel, dialogue with the deceased, archival collage and collective reverie, Toucher du bois offers a sensitive experience of places that stages various ways of apprehending the living.
