### Event Description: James Ehnes Plays Dvořák with the Minnesota Orchestra

The evening will commence with Janáček's powerful "Sinfonietta," followed by Smetana's "Tabor" from his celebrated collection, "Má vlast." The highlight of the evening will be the return of the renowned Canadian violinist James Ehnes, who will perform Dvořák's Violin Concerto. Ehnes, who first performed with the Minnesota Orchestra as a teenager, brings his stunning virtuosity and serene lyricism to the stage once again.

This season, he serves as the National Arts Centre of Canada’s artist in residence and tours the U.S. with the Ehnes Quartet.
- **Edward Gardner:** Principal conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and chief conductor of the Bergen Philharmonic, Edward Gardner will soon take on the music directorship of the Norwegian Opera and Ballet.
