The church is filled to the brim with warm Christmas spirit when Marie Carmen Koppel interprets her favorite Christmas songs such as When you wish upon a star , White Christmas and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

A concert that spans five centuries! From the Baroque, we go back to Henry Purcell's musical reinterpretation of fellow countryman Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" from 1692. It is a title we usually associate with Felix Mendelssohn, but in the hands of Purcell, the play has become a so-called "semi-opera" under the title The Fairy Queen. From it, we will hear a number of the beautiful and elegant instrumental pieces that both introduced and were part of the performance. From here, we jump all the way to the 21st century, where Anders Koppel gave us the terzetto for viola, clarinet and piano in 2019. He did so after inspiration from none other than WA Mozart's "Keglebane Trio" - but the music is now completely Koppel's own. Here there is both the flirtation with serial music, blues tonality and a finale of ingeniously intertwined dances.

A »Long Night of the String Quartet« brought them together: the great, universally acclaimed saxophonist Asya Fateyeva and the Aris Quartet, which has made an equally brilliant start in the concert world, immediately felt a special artistic attraction and promptly made plans together. They are now celebrating their quintet debut with the Hamburg Chamber Music Friends at the Elbphilharmonie and are preparing a highly exciting programme with a distinctly jazzy flavour.
