Cancelled and reviled in the media, Edward Prosser Rhys’s 1924 crown-winning poem, ATGOF, faced a storm of abuse for depictions of lust and a same-sex romance. Bwystfilod Aflan explores these events through a contemporary lens, with an operatic monologue by Conor Mitchell, creator of Abomination: A DUP Opera, performed by tenor Elgan Llŷr Thomas; and a personal reflection on the original poem by actor/dancer Eddie Ladd; both created in collaboration with and directed by Jac Ifan Moore.
