For ten years now, the five musicians and friends have formed the ensemble Karidion Brass. With wit and passion, they introduce their listeners to the full diversity of brass music and inspire with their joy in making music together at the highest level. Under the open sky of the courtyard of Dobbertin Monastery, Karidion Brass presents a colorful and diverse program of virtuoso baroque pieces, sophisticated original compositions, and modern, jazzy melodies.

A native of Bulgaria, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State Academy of Music in Sofia and a Master's degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where he studied with Prof. Michael Barta. Laskarov has appeared as a soloist with the Arkansas Symphony, Las Vegas Philharmonic, Conway (AR) Symphony, Southern Illinois Symphony, Abilene (TX) Philharmonic, Symphony Irvine (CA) and Texarkana (TX) Symphony and also as a concertmaster with the Monroe (LA) Symphony and McCall (ID) Festival Orchestra and assistant concertmaster with the Evansville (IN) Philharmonic and Scottsdale (AZ) MusicFest Orchestra.

Norman Krieger, a native of Los Angeles, is widely recognized as one of the leading pianists of his generation, praised for his technical mastery, expressive depth, and refined artistry. Celebrated by the Los Angeles Times for his precision and musical nuance, Krieger has performed with esteemed conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Leonard Slatkin, and Michael Tilson Thomas, and has appeared with major orchestras including the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonics, the Chicago Symphony, and the National Symphony. His international engagements span Europe, Asia, and South America, including notable performances at the PyeongChang Music Festival and a Decca recording with the London Symphony Orchestra.
