Music Director, Roger Kalia, and Conductor Laureate, Alfred Savia, will share the podium! Savia leads the Orchestra in Giuseppi Verdi's "Triumphal March" from Aida, one of the most popular pieces of classical music in the world. Savia will also conduct Paul Hindemith's Symphonic Metamorphosis of Themes by von Weber, and exciting and dramatic piece.

 

Carl Orff's Carmina Burana features the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus, Evansville Children's Choir, and three remarkable soloists performing one of the most popular choral-orchestral works of all time. The massive work of over 20 performers onstage includes O Fortuna, famous in popular culture, first introduced to mainstream media in the 1981 John Boorman film, Excalibur. The song has been used for dramatic effects in numerous films, including Glory, The Hunt for Red October, Natural Born Killers, The General's Daughter, and more
