Focusing on the two conflicting forces of good and evil, the story of Aurora begins with the evil Carabosse placing a curse on Princess Aurora during her christening celebration. As the plethora of fairies in the kingdom bring beautiful gifts, the kind Lilac Fairy cannot lift the curse but can soften it; Princess Aurora shall not die but sleep for one hundred years until a Prince awakens her with true love's kiss. Now a two-act production, Aurora brings an original flair to the classic story!

The holiday favorite The Nutcracker returns to Connor Palace at Playhouse Square! Now with 11 performances over two weekends, Cleveland Ballet promises to enchant and inspire all audiences with this magical production.

A production known to audiences of all ages, Cleveland Ballet's The Nutcracker is distinctly Cleveland's and is one not to be missed. The ballet in two acts is based on the original story by E.T.A. Hoffman with music composed by the renowned Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The fascination of Tchaikovsky's score and the suitability of the theme for Christmas entertainment has inspired many choreographers including Cleveland Ballet's own Artistic Director Gladisa Guadalupe who has created a version with a twist!

Serenade is a milestone in the history of dance. It is the first original ballet George Balanchine created in America and is one of the signature works of New York City Ballet's repertory. Named after its music, Tchaikovsky’s Serenade in C major for String Orchestra, Serenade tells its story musically and choreographically, without any extraneous narrative.
A collection of new and invigorating works, Symphony of Life will include an exclusive commissioned musical score by world-renowned Israeli composer Anna Segal as well as extraordinary choreography by celebrated choreographer Ilia Zhivoi. The beautiful score will be performed by a live orchestra of 24 musicians, headed by the distinguished conductor Caleb Young with musical advising from illustrious violinist Alexandra Preucil, effectively immersing the audience into the piece.

Swan Lake is the love story of Prince Siegfried who, on a hunting trip, encounters a flock of swans. He falls in love with the Swan Queen, Odette, and swears his allegiance and undying love to her. As a result of a curse by the evil sorcerer Baron von Rothbart, Odette can only take human form between midnight and daybreak.
With brand-new choreography from Artistic Director Gladisa Guadalupe and a surprising twist to Tchaikovsky's magical ballet, the story of Swan Lake is the perfect start to an incredible new season!
