He's rid of her, Orpheus rejoices! Later, the underworld servant Styx and the chief god of Olympus, Jupiter, scent their chances with Eurydice. And the women? Well, Jupiter's wife Juno immediately blames her husband for everything, and Eurydice has fun elsewhere until she becomes the plaything of the suitors. At least the personified public opinion is stepping up to the plate and putting them in their place. But Eurydice is fed up anyway and would rather have a drink with the Bacchantes. Cheers!

Max Bialystock, formerly a successful Broadway producer who only turns out flops nowadays, comes up with a plan together with his dull accountant Leo Bloom: their next production is to be the worst one ever!
