But with the help of a hot-rod teenage surf instructor and the company of her two best friends, Gary is about to go on the ride of her life. As the three women navigate the currents of the Pacific, they must confront seven decades of secrets and sacrifices, not to mention the odd jellyfish or two.

This production is part of Play in Process, returning for its second year, and offering a glimpse into the workings of what goes into the creation of plays – catching them in their early stages, when possibilities and challenges are discussed. Every performance of this one-day festival of plays-in-workshop will be accompanied by a talkback, with lively discussion encouraged.

After a nationwide increase in sightings of “Asian-looking ghosts,” two Thai brothers struggle to launch a ghost-hunting business. The two brothers–one born in Thailand and the other in the American Midwest–are called to investigate the paranormal hauntings at the home of an African-American couple displaced by Hurricane Katrina in this supernatural thriller. EWP multi-produced playwright and teaching artist Prince Gomolvilas pens a suspenseful, humorous, and compassionate exploration of the trauma of leaving home, whether crossing the country, the globe, or over from the other side. The Brothers Paranormal was originally produced in 2019 by Pan Asian Repertory Theatre in New York City.
