ICONS: Latin Rhythms

Aventura Arts & Cultural Center

A multihyphenate, Migguel Anggelo mines from myriad decades, genres, and cultures, grafting these muses onto a style that is remarkably his. His forward-thinking spirit and unabashed theatricality take his audience to a new place of depth and authenticity within themselves. In this intimate performance, the Venezuelan cabaret artist explores his Latinx and queer identities through costume, musical composition, and movement.

MIGGUEL ANGGELO breaks from “Latin Lover” clichés and his own Venezuelan father’s gendered expectations. In this artful mashup of theater, humor and sumptuous song selections. An outrageously queer and gender-bending concert experience, LatinXoxo reminds us that our self-worth is right there in the mirror.

LATINXOXO is performed in English with some Spanish language used throughout the show.

This PEAK performance is made possible by a grant from the MLDauray Arts Initiative in honor of Leonard and Sophie Davis

Guests attending PEAK Series performances in the Rinker Playhouse and Persson Hall will receive one complimentary beverage with every ticket purchased (underage guests will be offered a non-alcoholic selection.)
