Friendship knows no age: Penny McNamara, in her mid-30s, was a disaster as a student. Despite this, she studies art history and cheats her way through life. She loves karaoke more than her studies and skimpy clothing. Her former teacher, Konstanze Engelbrück, who is now retired, is in the middle of a life crisis. What helps the two women? Letting their feelings run free, and the best way to do this is with the right songs. So the two meet every Friday at "Perkin's Diner" for karaoke evening. With every single song they sing, the very different women open up a little more.
