Created by Artistic Director Eric Rose, this unique, hands-on event invites audiences to collaboratively construct and deconstruct a one-of-a-kind theatrical sculpture. Echoes of the Land invites audiences to immerse themselves in a transcendent sound journey led by Stoney Nakoda drummer and vocalist Cedric Lightning, Blackfoot traditional drummer and knowledge keeper Skip Wolfleg, spoken word poet Alanna Bluebird, and musicians Kris Demeanor and Kenna Burima. Grab your yoga mat,  join us at West Village Theatre, lie back, and let the soothing, meditative sounds wash over you. This is your chance to soak in powerful music that invites deep reflection on the land.

Echoes of the Land

Join Kris Demeanor and special guests for an intimate evening of music celebrating Kris’ album Songs for my Father to Fall Asleep To. This collection of songs was recorded over the past four years in studios, basements, churches, forests and tunnels, and was created as a love letter to his family and friends, and in particular to his father Wilfried. The performance will highlight the recording along with projection, lighting and story, creating a theatrical song cycle curated by the brilliant eye and ear of Ghost River Theatre’s Eric Rose.
