Lighting Designer

The work of Berlin choreographer Sasha Waltz has shaped the German dance scene for over 30 years. In 1993 she founded her dance company Sasha Waltz & Guests, performed with it at the most prestigious venues both nationally and internationally, and received the Federal Cross of Merit for her work in 2011. It is high time that tanzmainz and Sasha Waltz & Guests met: In the 2024/25 season, the ensembles will work together several times. The first piece is In C - a piece that Sasha Waltz designed from the outset with the basic idea of ​​a project for open knowledge transfer. Dancers from tanzmainz and the Berlin company will present joint performances in a mixed cast at the Staatstheater Mainz and in the Radialsystem Berlin.
