A flagship work of Quebec literature and cinema, Le Matou now takes to the stage for the first time with a musical comedy that is as entertaining as it is moving, celebrating the 40th anniversary of this local gem. 13 actors and actresses bring to life the famous characters created by Yves Beauchemin, in addition to introducing the public to new original songs that are an integral part of the story. Sold in millions of copies, translated into 16 languages, adapted for the cinema and recipient of numerous awards around the world, Le Matou revolutionized its time and has been inscribed in the hearts of Quebecers for many generations. People will be happy to rediscover the Montreal of the 70s and its customs, the Plateau Mont-Royal of the time, its drinking hall, the young Monsieur Émile, his cat Déjeuner and all the characters gravitating around them, but they will also be delighted to rediscover the universal scope that Le Matou has retained even today.

Performed by an exceptional cast, the troupe of the show Les Boys is ready to bring back to life the emblematic characters of the franchise: Emmanuel Bilodeau will play Stan, the devoted coach and owner of the brewery; Louis Champagne will lend his features to Méo, the formidable creditor; Benoit Drouin-Germain will play Ti-Guy; David Savard will be Bob, another pillar of the Boys; Denis Houle will play Fern, and Didier Lucien will be Boisvert. Marilou Morin will join the cast in the role of Sonia, while Mikhail Ahooja will play Mario. Nicolas Pinson will play Julien, Gabriel Sabourin will play Jean-Charles, Thomas Derasp-Verge will take on the role of Léopold, and Marie-Pier Labrecque will complete the team by playing several female roles.
