In mathematics, 12 is said to be a ‘Sublime’ number, and we expect nothing less from this brand-new production directed this season by Vincent Leblanc-Beaudoin! It will continue its mission of celebrating the excellence and ingenuity of budding young authors.

Selected from over 200 entries from across South-western Ontario, five original, authentic and vibrant scripts will be staged at the Berkeley Street Theatre. Doors slam, misunderstandings pile-up, and mix-ups escalate in this fresh new original play by Sébastien Bertrand (Les Liaisons dangereuses, Correspondances inédites; Les Filles du roi).

1921. Feu Monsieur Feydeau ! delves into the twilight days of Georges Feydeau, the undisputed master of vaudeville. Suffering from delirium, Feydeau is forced to stay in a sanatorium in Rueil-Malmaison, a setting as strange as it is unfamiliar. There, surrounded by eccentric characters, he unwittingly becomes the main character in a new original farce.

Crawlspace, the breakaway hit from our 2022-2023 season is back on stage for a limited run! Karen Hines pens this kafkaesque comedy, translated from English by Mishka Lavigne, which takes a deplorable look at Toronto’s cruel and wacky real estate industry. Crawlspace is a study of the human condition. It’s also a play that highlights the importance of twig orbs that decorate the tables and nooks of houses on sale. Miriam Cusson directs this award-winning play.
