Venezuelan double: For the 8th chamber concert, our artist in residence Pacho Flores has invited his fellow musician, composer, arranger and producer Jesús "Pingüino" González, who also comes from Venezuela - the "Paganini of the Spanish guitar", as Pacho Flores calls him with a wink. The two have been in a close artistic partnership for some time, the result of which was the album "Entropía", which won the gold medal at the Global Music Awards, which was released in 2017. And that forms the basis of the program, for which the two multi-talented artists have put together pieces from their homeland, with a careful selection of important Latin American composers. In addition to excursions into the passionate world of "Tango Nuevo" by Astor Piazzolla, there will be the opportunity to get to know the Brazilian singer, pianist, guitarist and composer Antônio Carlos Jobim, one of the inventors of the bossa nova. The illustrious group of different composers is also joined by the two soloists, Pacho Flores and Jesús "Pingüino" González, who show another facet of their talent. Music full of longing, world-weariness and joie de vivre, perfect for a warm summer evening.
