Set Designer

As children, Joey and Michel love to put on shows for their family and friends. Otherwise, it would be difficult to show their true colors in the working-class Quebec of the 60s and 70s where they grew up. To free themselves and survive, the two brothers will each follow their own path. One will become an actor in Vancouver, the other will shine on the Montreal drag scene before becoming the woman she always felt she was. But can we flourish freely when our identity tragically opposes the roles that society imposes on us?

It would’ve been otherwise difficult for them to show their true colours in the working- class Quebec of the 60s and 70s where they grew up. Seeking an escape, the two brothers each went their separate ways. One became a liberated actor in Vancouver, the other shone on the Montreal drag scene before transitioning to the woman she always wanted to be. But can we blossom freely when our identity tragically clashes with the roles society imposes on us?
