Can you separate the good from the evil in people? The ambitious doctor Henry Jekyll has set himself the task of doing just that. He is not allowed to research this on patients, so he simply carries out the experiment on himself. It works: Dr. Jekyll creates his evil alter ego Edward Hyde - but he increasingly loses control over him. Frank Wildhorn transforms the dramatic horror story of a split personality in a relentless battle with himself, based on the novella by Robert Louis Stevenson, into a gripping musical that, with Alexander Klaws in the lead role, shakes up the stage of the Darmstadt State Theater and all moral platitudes.
