Donkey Skin runs through the forest. What is she running away from? Who is she? In the middle of the darkness, a car wash lights up. It is the kingdom of her childhood. Her mother dies and, to escape her father's lustful gaze, Donkey Skin demands dresses that are unique in the world, as well as the sacrifice of her donkey, to which he resigns himself. She then flees to her Godmother, who subjects her to a series of trials and emancipatory rituals.
