The Hessian State Ballet begins its season with an extraordinary double evening and a reunion with leading choreographers of the present: After the successful productions Timeless by Xie Xin and I'm afraid to forget your smile by Imre & Marne van Opstal, the Hessian State Ballet combines the dance positions of these currently groundbreaking choreographers in a double evening for the first time in Broken Bob . In their new creation I am Bob,the Dutch siblings Imre & Marne van Opstal create a choreographic network of identity through a close interweaving of music and text. Exploring the question of who Bob is, he stands as a placeholder for humanity itself. The dancers explore his essence in a large ensemble through the power of movements and their patterns. In doing so, the choreographic duo approaches the limits and possibilities of body and mind through dance.
