Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? This question arises not only when looking in the mirror, but also in the visual worlds of advertising and social media. We constantly examine ourselves, comparing ourselves to others. Can only those who are beautiful be lovable and successful? Why do beauty ideals so strongly influence us? Liv Strömquist explores this question in her 2021 graphic novel. Satirically and entertainingly, she combines current discourse, history, and theory, giving voice to figures such as Snow White's stepmother, Empress Sissi, and media stars like Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian.

Eating flies all day and bathing in the pond at night in the moonlight with beautiful music - all frogs love their frog life! If it weren't for the fact that one day a frog girl accidentally finds a crown, declares herself queen of the frogs and upsets the balance in the pond. Because a queen no longer has to catch her own flies, she can give orders and even punish other frogs. But is a crown enough to be queen? Davide Calì's children's book of the same name about the arbitrary exercise of power and equality is being staged at JUST for the first time this season as a musical theater premiere.
